The photographer Pia Jaroschinsky grew up in the Odenwald of Germany. Long before she completed her studies in photo and communication design, she was determined to gain inspiration through seeing the world. Her feet fell across Europe, Australia, Oman, Sri Lanka, South American, Asia and many more beautiful places in between. Steadfast, she captured infinite new impressions with the art of photography while developing her own imagery to convey the feel of a place. After traveling the world, she now calls Bend, Oregon her home inspired by endless opportunity to be awed by the natural world.
Throughout her time abroad, Pia collected portraits of people she has met and brought these images together in the photobook “Peace Around The World” where the viewer is encouraged to explore the reality of peace among all people. Her repertoire ranges from imaginative multiple exposures that invite the viewer to get lost, to clear designed compositions. Her work has come to life in several exhibitions from Berlin to Bend.
In her latest work "Reflection" she aims to overwhelm the viewer with reverence as if they were immersed in nature.
